Philipp the Journalist © by Ruth Brummund, Dipl Psych.  A professional journalist faces a major turning point in his life and his career, and volunteers as a subject for analysis by a group of astrologers.  First they rectify his chart, and then proceed to answer questions he has about which direction to take at this turning point.  In this article, Ruth indicates her rectification results, proceeds to answer the questions Philipp has about what potentials the future holds for him, and addresses character analysis techniques. Teaching: In our chart work, we use non-planetary reference points such as the Lunar Nodes, the Ascendant and MC, and the 0° cardinal point.  How are these points actually distinguished from each other?  In particular, what do the Lunar Nodes signify? Lesson 5: The Uranian Mandala © by Master Uranian Astrologer Ruth Brummund, Dipl Psych.  Having analyzed the talents of the individual shown by the three main axes of aptitudes and abilities, we proceed to count the frequency of factors along those axes and then assess the marked emphases or absences of those factors to learn what challenges lie before the individual in becoming fully conscious of his or her complexes, inclinations, blind spots, and personal strengths. Introduction to the Uranian Mandala (Meditation Wheel) by Master Uranian Astrologer Ruth Brummund, Dipl Psych:  This is the definitive original article published in German by Ruth Brummund in 1984, now available in English translation.  The article describes the basic format and principles and how the Mandala is to be read.  Part 2 of the article, to be added later, will explain the mathematical procedure (also mentioned in other Beacon articles by Ms Brummund) in  for constructing the individualized Mandala.  It would be wise to study this section now, to familiarize oneself with the symbolism and fundamental interpretive strategies.  Still further information on the Mandala will be available in the Brummund Technique Book, in process of translation at this time.
